Writer’s Guidelines

e-Drive is a product news magazine focused on new developments and technology advancements in electric motors, drives and related components and systems. Readers are OEM and system design engineers, application engineers and system integrators who utilize electric motors and drives in developing products and systems for a wide variety of applications including transportation markets, appliances, industrial equipment and machinery, consumer electronics, office and medical equipment, power equipment and automation systems; and developers of motor and drive systems and equipment.

e-Drive magazine accepts contributed material for short, concise treatment of one topic. We publish feature articles that address AC and DC electric motors, drives, pump motors and drives, subfractional horsepower motors, gear motors, speed reducers, gears, gearboxes, brakes, IC’s, controllers, linear motors, capacitors, power conversion systems,  electronic components, power electronics, test equipment and services, actuators, sensors and power supplies.

All press releases should be submitted by e-mail (Shannon Given) or using the online form. Please include high resolution (300 dpi) photos when available. Releases may be edited for length, grammar, punctuation and style.

All articles must be submitted by e-mail (Shannon Given) as a Word document. Articles should run between 2,000 and 2,500 words. Articles may be edited for length, grammar, punctuation and style. Articles may not be a marketing pitch for a product.

Artwork is preferred with each article and should be 300 dpi in .eps, .jpg, .tif or .bmp format, PC compatible, at approximately 3 inches wide. If you cannot provide artwork, let us know in advance so that we can make appropriate arrangements.

Please submit a concise biography of the author with the manuscript, and include phone, e-mail and other contact information. Photo of author is encouraged.

Space for feature articles fills up months in advance so it is recommended abstracts be submitted at least two months in advance of publication. Contact Shannon Given to propose an article.
